Glad all over
Croydon is waking up more ‘South London and Proud’ than ever today 🤩
That historic FA Cup win has brought joy and pride to so many locals and provided brilliant lessons in grit, resilience, loyalty, positivity and optimism.
Here’s to harnessing this energy and making Croydon ‘Glad All Over’ all year round 🙌
Congrats @cpfc - epic work 👏 🥳 👏
Bring on the Parade (Mon 26 May)!
Croydon’s Growth Plan
For nearly nine years, East Croydon Cool has proudly championed Croydon - showcasing its strengths and challenging the negative narratives that often surround our town.
Whilst trying to remain positive, it’s fair to say recent years have tested our resolve and resilience! 🤪
So, whilst we were cautiously optimistic about attending yesterday’s ‘Growth Plan and Town Centre Vision’ led by Mayor Perry on behalf of Croydon Council, it’s fair to say, we arrived a little jaded – or perhaps just a bit tired.
The event was to introduce an invited crowd of businesses, developers and partners to the new plan for Croydon – “a bold new strategy to drive regeneration, attract investment and deliver exciting developments across the borough”.

Then let us know in the (INSTAGRAM) comments what you think about them… 👀
Soooo F**CKing Croydon
Who’s ready for a serious nostalgia hit - featuring comedy, dance and spoken word?
“You’re SO F**CKing Croydon” (@ysfc_show) is an unapologetic dive into the female working-class experience and noughties club culture. 🔥
It’s not just a story about a place, but about every woman who’s been defined by where she comes from.
With a cheeky “Love of Huns” aesthetic and a euphoric ‘Save the Last Dance’-esque finale, the show celebrates resilience, power, and the refusal to be pigeonholed.
Written and performed by #CroydonGirl, Katie Hurley, it’s currently on tour but will be at @stanleyarts.uk tomorrow night (Friday 16 May).
Head to @stanleyarts.uk to get your tickets (then see you at ‘The Afters’ after 😉).

Time for Art
When we asked Sharmina if she could send us a video to promote the exhibition she is organising - she was a little apprehensive.
Then she said, “le ridicule ne tue pas” (“I guess no one ever died of embarrassment!”) and created this. 🤣
Bravo Sharmina ! 👏
The SoCro Art Competition Exhibition (running from 2nd to 27th June) will bring together 100 selected artworks spanning different styles, genres and mediums from seasoned local artists to first time exhibitors.
Held in the Click Clock gallery (in @clock.tower.cafe) you can explore the power of visual storytelling, discover unexpected perspectives (and vote for your favourite artwork for the chance to win prizes).
Workshops (held by @hive.workshops and @tipperleyhill) will be taking place on the Opening Day and all donations given during the exhibition will go to @lnkcharity.
